Why Shop Lot LA is canceled: Due to a couple merchant complaints to Dist 13 Council Member Eric Garcetti's office, the Office of Building & Safety Inspections will not issue our Temporary Special Events permit for Dec 17 & 18. We've tried for days now to plead our case with the Office of Building & Safety Inspections, Eric Garcetti's office, the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council, the Silver Lake Chamber of Commerce and the local merchants to see how Shop Lot LA's intended to promote local commerce and benefits local charity, but they just tell us NO. If you'd like to show support for Shop Lot LA, please call Ryan Carpio at Eric Garcetti's office at 323-957-4500 and tell him why you think Shop Lot LA is good for the community.
